Luke 9:48 NLT….Then he said to them “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”
Mark 10:15 “I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
These are just two examples of what God says about child like faith. I want to tell you a quick story about a little girl and how she melted my heart in just a few minutes with her.
On Saturday March 26th, the team I’m on had been asked to help with the children ministry. We prepared a lesson, games, and a craft. We had just finished the craft portion of the schedule and we had transitioned to games. The children were all sitting in a circle getting ready to play rosë, rosë, patë, which is duck, duck, goose, in Albanian. And I noticed one of the little girls not sitting and not wanting to play. So she walked over in the area that I was standing and she tried to get up on a stack of chairs. She couldn’t get up there…so I looked at her and she understood that I was going to pick her up and sit her up on the chairs. She had total trust in me, someone whom she never met in her life. She had total trust in me. This is a prime example of how God wants us to come to him…total trust. I have to fully look at my God and just allow him to carry all of me. She had such a beautiful smile on her face when I picked her up to sit on those chairs. That smile would have made anyone and I mean anyone smile back at her. It made my heart instantly jump for joy but also put me in my place. We played for several minutes and then she wanted to get down. I helped her down and she ran over to someone else while continuing to play.
This is just a very small example of what God is doing on the daily…He is doing so much more…
