Hello,

My name is Matthew Weir. I was born into a family of 5 with two older brothers and two wonderful parents. 

My Heart. I have a giant heart for others and love to serve others as much as I can. There is something about helping people that makes my heart full of love. With saying that, this is exactly why I am going on this mission trip. 

I am a Sports fanatic. I love watching sports in any free time I have. Although, my favorite teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, Arkansas Razorbacks, and the OAKLAND RAIDERS!!!!! Yes, that is for all the Kansas City Chief fans out there. HaHa. But I do enjoy friendly banter about all the sports teams. 

Music and Cooking are my passions. I went to school to become a music teacher and I did fulfill that dream but God had different plans for me. I am going to use my music knowledge to connect with others from all around the world. Also, cooking is a blast. I love to create new things and try new foods. I have been blessed with this skill and continue to better myself everyday. Both of these are universal and everyone can understand them without speaking. 

Here is one of my favorite books of the Bible. Nehemiah!!! If you have never read this book from the Bible, you need to do so now. It is something else. It talks about favor as a child of God, praying, destruction, praise, overcoming obstacles, being an example, enemies plot against you, victory, and etc. It has personally helped me through some difficult times. I am reading it over and over and over because I learn something new each time.
