How do you know if you're Worthy? That has been something I've struggled with most of my adult life. But let you tell you something I finally listened to what God was saying and showing me during training camp.

This is going to be a very real and raw blog.

So, what determines your worth? Job, Money, Status, newest Nikes, etc....well I tried for the longest time to show people my worth. But all along I was trying to convince myself of my worth. During training camp, as most of you know, I hurt myself(so surprised right lol). Anyway I went to Urgent care and found out it was a very bad sprained ankle, bruising and all still happening. Well that afternoon the entire squad had an overnight hike on a near by mountain. I had been saying the whole time I had been getting looked at, that if it's not broken, I'm going on that hike. 

Once I got back to campus and we had some squad time. I expressed that I wanted to go to the squad but I couldn't carry anything. We had to carry extra water, our food, clothes, and all our sleeping stuff(tent, sleeping bag). There was no way I was going to ask anyone to help me out, but without hesitation a member of the squad spoke up and said "We got you. We will divide it up and get your stuff up there." Now I hardly ever ask for help, but I was totally speechless when the squad member said that...because the whole squad agreed that they would split everything up. 

In that moment I knew God was wanting me to learn something from that and I did, but not what I thought he wanted me to learn. See, that was God speaking through all my squad to me telling me I am worthy of love, help, and grace. And that didn't resinate with me till Thursday night after our last praise and worship service. I laid on the ground in AWE of what I finally listened to God saying to me for years. You are worthy my child.

" For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against enemies, to give you the VICTORY" Deuteronomy 20:4

See our God puts people in our lives to help fight and win those battles. And little does the entire squad know, but they all helped me have victory that week. They helped someone who struggled with being WORTHY for a very long time.
